The varieties of species pumilum are not liked to the species pumilum.

In WoRMS, there is no Gomphonema pumilum (Grunow) E.Reichardt & Lange-Bertalot, 1991 but instead there are two varieties Gomphonema vibrio var. pumilum (Grunow in Van Heurck) R. Ross in Hartley, 1986 and Gomphonema intricatum var. pumila Cleve-Euler, 1932

The varieties are in the WoRMS checklist, Gomphonema vibrio var. pumilum Hartley, 1986 and Gomphonema intricatum var. pumila Cleve-Euler, 1932. The names should be added when GBIF begin to use Catalogue of Life as taxonomic resource instead of the GBIF backbone. User has been notified through helpdesk.

The name are added on the xrelase
