1. Status of the collection Herbarium - Agricultural University of Plovdiv

• The single linked occurence (as of 12.10.2023) has been correctly matched with the collection via the Institution Code. However, this occurrence from Tropicos corresponds to 12 specimens from the collection with Catalogue numbers: 'SOA 45518' (Holotype), 'SOA 45520-45530' (isotype). This information is seen only from the field "Type Specimens" in the description of the specimen at the Tropicos website here. These 12 specimens were digitised during the CEBDER project and listed here but the images are not available: https://www.nmnhs.com/e-natura/types-bulgaria/type_list_institution_bg-SOA-p-16.html. Should we do something here @ManonGros ?

How do we proceed when a herbarium specimen from a given GRSciColl collection was cited as part of a dataset with nucleotide sequences taken from the specimen but the specimen itself was not digitised? Should we connect them somehow? @ManonGros (By the way, the interval in the code is important, there are occurrences with Catalogue number "SOAXXXXXX", which are not from this collection).

I know that collections used for teaching are not in the scope of GRSciColl but just to remember that I went through the site.

• The Department of Entomology has a rich collections of insects and other crop pests, as well as plant parts damaged by pests. The collections are used to illustrate the teaching material.
• A unique soil museum has been founded and maintained at the Department of Agrochemistry and Soil Science. It contains monoliths of the main soil types in Bulgaria. Seminar lessons related to the soil-forming rocks and minerals are successfully conducted in the soil museum. The new material is illustrated with the means of rich visual resources.

Hi @spalp, I think it would be fine to add the teaching collections here. They have scientific value and they hold physical specimens, it seems in scope to me.

When it comes to the records from the INSDC Sequences dataset, I am not sure what to do. This is a dataset with a bit of a special status as we have an agreement with EMBL to use their API to make datasets on GBIF (see: https://github.com/gbif/embl-adapter) so we could possibly, find/add the institution codes but I need to check with some colleagues.
