I think it is GBIF convention not to use - in metadata. Moreover, metadata only datasets may represent digitized, but not standardized resources, or such where data sharing with GBIF is not achievable for some reasons, typically lack of resources. https://docs.gbif.org/course-introduction-to-gbif/en/primary-biodiversity-data.html#gbif-dataset-classes

Definition of occurrence needs to include, in simple words, mandatory indication of "how do we know" a species was there at time / place - as bOR is a required DwC field https://ipt.gbif.org/manual/en/ipt/2.5/occurrence-data#required-dwc-fields. Use of word "core" about occurrence is potentially confusing as Cores have other meaning in standard. The fact that occurrence form the bulk, the majority in GBIF records does not make it core - but it a philosophical question. I simply suggest replace core with clearer syn indicating domination by numbers, not necessarily importance. BONUS same word "core" used in the Review for this section

Samping event - add "thanks to documented sampling effort for the events" to the end. Esp. ecology community with react positively to these familiar words
