I'm just investigating the use of Neotoma DB to store some fossil derived data from our ancientDNA lab. I noticed that Neotoma Paleoecology publisher was deleted in 2021 https://www.gbif.org/publisher/97ed485e-17cf-4159-918f-1224026d2e6c
But then I found this issue.
I'm just wondering what is the status or plan with regards to a partnership between the Neotoma DB and GBIF? Is there any talk of some automated data harvest in to GBIF?
Thanks, Brett
We are not aware of any recent communication on this, though it would certainly remain an option if they were willing to share their data this way.
The publisher deletion happened in the context of a clean-up on registry entries for institutions that had shown no publishing activity ever, several years after registration. Any such publisher can be brought back with minimal effort, if publishing activity resumes.
