sPlotOpen – An environmentally balanced, open-access, global dataset of vegetation plots #281

The "largest open-access dataset of vegetation plots ever released" comprising cover or abundance records of naturally co-occurring vascular plant species from 95,104 plots. @timrobertson100 could provide a useful case study for the data model.

In fact I had discussions with the overall lead for this Helge Bruelheide [helge.bruelheide@botanik.uni-halle.de] at the recent EuropaBON meeting in Leipzig and they are in principle committed to getting this data into GBIF, and aware of the data model work. I can reinforce this when following up.
