Why is this important: The dataset reports a lrage number of localities of Hippophae rhamnoides subsp. mongolica, many of them with GPS precision. Currently this dataset represents the largest number of localities for the taxon. The identity of taxon has been verified for each locality by Dr. Bartish. In addition, the dataset reports links to images of preserved specimens from several herbaria in Russian Federation, whci are currently inavailable through web sites of the harbaria, but can be ordered (for free) from Dr. Bartish. Incorporation of the dataset into GBIF could considerably improve understanding of the range of subsp. mongolica.
