If like the Transifex option this requires non-free JS running on the site itself, then already a bad idea. Turning off blocking on Crowdin (not all too unlike using it at all) means being susceptible to all sorts of tracking and resale.
Crowdin have a feature for in-page translation. The translator opens the document/course, and can click on elements to translate them, which opens a pop-up.
With AsciiDoctor the process isn't perfect. Things like crossreferences, links etc aren't shown correctly in the document. Seeing everything in place is great, but the broken syntax might be a bit too confusing.
Example: https://docs.gbif-uat.org/georeferencing-calculator-manual/translation_1.0/aa/ (I will remove the example when translation on this document starts).
Note you'll probably need to disable adblockers, tracking protection etc to make this work.
