3 years ago Probably the number of external links will decrase as the portals advance and bring together all its contents, or at least thats is oir situation. Also, if we add external links we add the option to open a new page instead of taking the user out of the portal.
Many of the existing hosted portals have many links in the menus to external sites. Marking them as external would make for a better user experience I believe. So we could add an anchor automatically in these cases
