The background for this issue is this proposal to add elements that may only be relevant when certain extensions are used.
It may be worthwhile to see if it would make sense to only show specific metadata fields in the IPT when certain extensions are in use. With more and more elements being supported in GBIF's EML profile, the IPT metadata risks being too excessive for publishers when it does not need to be.
The EML elements definitions should state which extensions they are useful for.
