Mistaken recorder?

Asa Gray is listed as the recorder/collector for this specimen, but he's more likely to be the identifier, as I don't think he ever visited Japan. Instead, he spent years cataloguing specimens gathered during Commodore Matthew Perry's 1853-54 expedition to Japan, which this probably derives from.

I think the label actually does show Gray listing himself as 'det.' rather than 'leg.' here, too. Collector is more likely James Morrow, though there are other candidates.
