This is a sample of Sesleria argentea (Savi) Savi not of Sesleria autumnalis F.W. Schultz.

This is a sample of Sesleria argentea (Savi) Savi not of Sesleria autumnalis F.W. Schultz, because the panicle is rather thick and dense, 6-8 mm wide, while in Sesleria autumnalis is only 3-5(7) mm wide, loose. The sample in question comes from Tuscany (Italy), the land where also the typus of Sesleria argentea was collected, very similar to this sample.
