Location of Aplomado Falcon (Falco femoralis) specimen USNM (or NMNH) #126466 is incorrect.

This specimen was collected in the Mexican state of Chihuahua (not Sonora) about 1 mile south of the U.S. border near Lago Paloma (31.767924 X -107.606734). The itinerary of the collectors, Mearns and Holzner, that appears in Bailey's Birds of New Mexico (p. 28), states they were 1 mi. south of Monument #21, 7-11 April 1892 and the collection date is 9 April 1892. The specimen entry at USNM, states "Mexico, Palomas, Camp #3 near lake".
