I recently observed two occurrences of Senecio lyallii Klatt (synonym of Packera hyperborealis Á.Löve & D.Löve) in Canterbury New Zealand this species is not generally thought to be in New Zealand. There is another species concept of Senecio lyallii Hook.f (synonym of Dolichoglottis lyallii (Hook.f.) B. Nord) which is found in New Zaland and I believe these two occurrences are actually the Senecio lyallii Hook.f = Dolichoglottis lyallii specimens. There are digital pictures of the herbarium records and that suggests that the specimens are Senecio lyallii Hook.f and not Senecio lyallii Klatt.
