I cannot find any type record of Pseudanniceris amazonicus Descamps, 1977 on GBIF, the only preserved specimen records are from the UFRJ in Brazil: https://www.gbif.org/occurrence/search?basis_of_record=PRESERVED_SPECIMEN&taxon_key=1704257&occurrence_status=present
It looks like it may be worth contacting the curator from the MNHN EO collection and ask them if they could share their type records on GBIF. @SophiePamerlon, are you in touch with the MNHN Orthoptera collections? Would it be possible to ask if they could include records of Pseudanniceris amazonicus specimens? (see also https://orthoptera.speciesfile.org/otus/822161/specimen_records)
Thanks - I think most MNHN Orthoptera types are accessible via gbif, maybe this type got lost. If so it would be good to have this info somewhere
@klausriede @ManonGros Thanks for informing us of this missing holotype, I just sent an email to the EO collection curator to check whether this holotype is indeed in the collection or not :) I'm on holidays this evening until the 12th of May, but I'll keep you updated as soon as I go back to the office!
@SophiePamerlon did you hear back from the EO collection curator? Do you know if they would be interested in sharing their type records?
@ManonGros I unfortunately never heard back from the EO curator; I just sent him a reminder and I'll keep you posted! :)
Thank you Sophie!
In facgt it would be good to compile al list of lost types....
