- Extracted all grbio entities and idigbio entities to work locally on at 2. april.
- normalized titles by removing a few stopwords, diacrits and punctuation.
- removed all grbio institutions that explicitly stated to be non US.
Mappings have been done using multiple approaches. In order (and only next step if prior didn't find any match)
- IRN
- Other identifiers (e.g. lsid)
- Combination of title and code
- Combination of code and city
- Title and no institution code in iDigBio
- Title matches, with conflicting code - manually reviewed
- Other machine detected candidates, that have been manually reviewed
Result
iDigBio entries in total: 1591 Matched: 1356 Not matched: 235
The result is simply an annotated version of the iDigBio API response.
_grbioInstMatch is used to indicate the matched grbio institution uuid.

As with IH we will map all entities to both an institution and a collection. The first step is to create a mapping for the institutions. Once that is done we can map/create the collections belonging to those institutions.
