[we assume that this is the format that PANGAEA wishes to see, as it was recently configured in cooperation with DataONE - needs confirmation]

The citation PANGAEA originally gave us for the example you give is

Mix, AC et al. (1999): Composition of planktonic foraminifera species in 1123 surface sediment samples compared with sea surface temperatures from the Levitus Atlas. doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.61061, In Supplement to: Mix, Alan C; Morey, Ann E; Pisias, Nicklas G; Hostetler, Steven W (1999): Foraminiferal faunal estimates of paleotemperature: Circumventing the no-analog problem yields cool ice age tropics. Paleoceanography, 14(3), 350-359, doi:10.1029/1999PA900012

It's possible for this to be shown in the same way as for #43.

Do EUDAT use the OAI-PMH endpoint to our registry? That could be why they don't have much data

https://api.gbif.org/v1/oai-pmh/registry?verb=GetRecord&identifier=87220b2c-f762-11e1-a439-00145eb45e9a&metadataPrefix=eml has the full EML record, but if they use the more generic https://api.gbif.org/v1/oai-pmh/registry?verb=GetRecord&identifier=87220b2c-f762-11e1-a439-00145eb45e9a&metadataPrefix=oai_dc Dublin Core representation, it doesn't have much information.
