[ ] header section: dropdown menu potentially also, but not essential: logo top left
[x] footer section
[x] navigation bar left-hand side (manually edited)

homepage:

[x] styling of tiles
[x] add a "tools" section (landing page) and rewire the entry page sections to it
[x] omit right-hand side navigator here

Attention to the mobile phone layout is still required, e.g. to hide or significantly shrink some decorative images.

Question for discussion: rather than keeping the link from the entry page blind, open the Data Publishing tab to a page that cross-references the entry page of the Quick Start guide section in GBIF.org, with a statement like "Work in progress - information on data publishing has not been transferred to the technical documentation site yet."

Does this refer to the broken (red) link to data publishing on the home page?

Presumably this needs fixing before launch.
