There's a new google group -- opengovjobs -- which is focused on job postings inside and outside government that relate to open government. It may be worth exploring to see whether this is a good place to post announcements and also pull in info for github.

I've been building a bunch of scrapers for open gov non-profits to turn their announcements into an RSS feed that I can then monitor. There's probably a better way to do it.

@adelevie as you know I'm pretty coding incompetent, so I've been using feed43 to build them. Here's the RSS feeds that I've created:
