Tracking dependency updates

I will use this issue to track outstanding dependency updates and what's blocking them.

• meow
  • Currently on v9.0.0, latest is v.11.0.0
  • Problem: v10 switched to ESM only which is why we can't currently use it.
  • Solution: Switch the whole project to use ES modules.
• axios
  • Currently on v1.1.3, latest is v1.2.0
  • Problem: I got an error during build after I tried it with v1.2.0. I think it might be a bug in axios because the version was only just released when writing this.
  • Solution: Wait and try again. Otherwise investigate where the issue could be.
