Tracking dependencies #140

I would like to keep this issue around and document why certain dependencies are not on their latest major version.

As of 2023-04-12, all dependencies are on their latest version.

Updated passport to v0.5.x and meow to v9 seemingly without issues.

Removed typedi in #139. Also replaced escape-string-regexp with function in Lodash.

As of today, all dependencies are on the latest version. I will reopen this issue if there are new pending major dependency updates.
