The response header X-PAIA-Version SHOULD be sent with every HTTP response to indicate the version of PAIA specification which the PAIA server was checked against. For instance the following HTTP header will tell a PAIA client that PAIA features introduced after version 1.0.5 (e.g. patron fields type and address, content-negotiation for languages, HTTP OPTIONS and HTTP HEAD) are unlikely supported:

X-PAIA-Version: 1.0.5
