Explict sleep no longer overrides NoSleep in Mountain Lion #86

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
After switch from an air running lion to one running mountain lion 10.8.3, the
no longer stays asleep if <Apple Menu>-><Sleep> is pressed and NoSleep is
running. On Lion the system will stay asleep. On Mountain Lion, it wakes soon
while the lid is closed.

On Lion, it stayed asleep until re-awoken.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have NoSleep enabled on mountain lion
2. Press Apple Menu>-><Sleep>
3. Close lid

What is the expected output?
  system will stay asleep indefinitely

What do you see instead?
system wakes up in a short period of time, although display does not come on. Battery will run down.

What version of the product are you using? 1.3.3

On what operating system? 10.8.3

Please provide any additional information below.

If you run (date; sleep 60; data) in a window and immediately press sleep and
wait a few minutes, it will show that the system did not stay asleep.

If you disable NoSleep it works, but if one fails to remember to disable,
the battery runs down :-( The behavior on Lion was identical.

Hello,

this looks like a duplicate of
https://code.google.com/p/macosx-nosleep-extension/issues/detail?id=51

I can not reproduce it on my computer, but the bug is definitely exists.

Does your mac support PowerNap? Is it enabled?

Hi Pavel,

This system does have PowerNap, however it's disabled.

If you can give me a version with some kind of debug logging,
I will work with you to figure this out.

Mark
