Is this project dead? #3

There have been no commits for over 2 years. Are there any plans to keep maintaining this project? It seems to be the most Pythonic cross-platform GUI API I've come across so far, but there's still a lot of work to do. It would be nice if more developers came to the party—cross-platform GUIs are a big animal to tame.

I agree with you, this awesome project seems dead I currently don't have a lot of time to contribute to this project though

I've successfully used PyGUI 2.5.3 in 2013 for a simple desktop app to view/convert geophysical files. I've enjoyed using PyGUI. It simply worked.

Yes, the the latest PyGUI 2.5.4 was released in 2017. However, PyGUI always had infrequent releases, since 1998 (!).

Of course I can't say for @gcewing, but personally I wouldn't call PyGUI project dead. It's just extremely stable and may be waiting for somebody to pour their time into it.
