Cannot copy link text without copying ID

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use the cursor to select the text of a hyperlink (or even just the end of it)
2. Copy.
3. Paste where you want it. The last character(s) is the MLB ID.

What is the expected output? What I would like is to be able to copy the 
hyperlink without the ID, too. Can IDs be made uncopyable? At least as a 
preference, so people can still have them copyable if they want?

What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
