This translation might help you...
Hi good morning and my apology if you don't understand me correctly, try to
translate
my text from Spanish to English using a shitty translator program.
I really like your software and I'd like to ask a few questions/suggestions
about
what its future version should be able to do (and if it's possible)
1) When you open an audio files should be good if the player could handle
volume and
navigation into the song.
2) Downloadable foreign languages -(this part I'm not sure of translation. MrT)-
3) Is it possible to translate it in spanish. I can do it if you need.
4) Add a internet browser
5) Could also play avi, divx, etc.
6) Display device's contain using 3 different windows (one for each device).
And we
could maximise/minimise these like in Windows OS
I would be glad if you could answer because I am curious about these points.
In fact, I think it would be really good if this homebrew could look more like
an
Explorer or Browser.
I want to thank everyone working on this homebrew for your efforts et great
work. You
can contact me by mail at "ivan microinsideotmail.com" (replace space by "at")

OK thanks for the translation.
Answers:
1) Maybe
2) Is planned
3) I think it is already done:
http://wiixplorer.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/Languages/spanish.lang . You can
help out
on the language forum (link on sites main).
4) Not planned. It would be an own project. Way too much work.
5) Not planned. Way too much work. mplayerce is handling that part.
6) Is planned.
Right now mainly i am working on WiiXplorer, though r-win said he is comming
back and
will take the part of image handling again which he had before too. Also we
might
have a new member. liloumaster, a coder from the DS-Scene has joined and said
he is
creating an ftp client and server support.

Here's a thought:
You know how you get the submenu by pressing + on the WiiMote? How about
getting
that on the GameCube controller by pressing X or Right Trigger or something?

Yeah about controlling through the browser there is already an issue. I am still
thinking what would be best. You can give your opinion in that issue 13.

You have this ability already. Just do properties of any folder of the device.
Only
NTFS is not showing the device size due to a bug inside the NTFS lib. I found
the bug
a few days ago already just didnt commit it yet.

Since Dragon Media Player has been abandoned, would you be able to use their
source
to add chiptune playback to the WiiXplorer music player?
Original comment by owen.bri...@gmail.com

I could take a look at it. Can you post here the source? If you can even point
out
the file where this format is being processed.

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/DragonMedia_Player Wiibrew article
http://www.dragonminded.com/files/dmp_0_16_alpha_src.zip And the source
And as for chiptunes, you should check this article out:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiptune
I mainly use DMP to listen to old NES/SNES music but it would be nice to see
more
formats supported in WiiXplorer.

They got several different formats in there and i am not sure which of them is
what
you needed. Can you tell me which one of these is what you wanted:
availableSources[0] = new WavSource();
availableSources[1] = new ModuleSource();
availableSources[2] = new Mp3Source();
availableSources[3] = new VorbisSource();
availableSources[4] = new FlacSource();
availableSources[5] = new GmeSource();
availableSources[6] = new SidSource();
availableSources[7] = new SndhSource();
availableSources[8] = new YmSource();

You added the multiple select thing. It works great, but the properties dose
not work
with it with multiple selected, on works on the one that is selected under the
cursor.

Haha good point. I think i should just remove all the confirmation for
successfull

Anyone thinks that I should keep them and just do an option to disable
confirmation
or just remove without any option?

Would it be possible to add an option to select a different ios for mounting
usb? I'm
using configurable usb loader and it mounts the usb fine with my current ios's
installed but wiixplorer doesn't see any usb device, and I can tell by the
light on
my drive that as soon as the ios wiixplorer is using is loaded, it shuts off
the drive.
Also, I can't see my channels in the menu, probably also an ios issue, but
geckoOS
can see them.
So whichever ios configurable usb loader uses to mount fat32 and whichever ios
geckoOS uses to show wii channels, that's the IOS I would like to switch to.

Now that WiiXplorer can playback GCN/Wii *.thp video files, why don't you add
*.mht
compatibility? As far as I know, that's another format used by Nintendo in some
GameCube games (like SSBM, for example), and it's very similar to the *.thp one.
However, they doesn't include sound (it is played from sound files, each one
corresponding to a different cinema).
Original comment by pabloacurielz@gmail.com
on 20 Mar 2010 at 1:04
It is already implemented ;). It's the same as thp but muted. I just didnt add
the
.mht extension to start with the player. What you can do right now is rename
.thp to
.mht and it should work. I will add it with next commit. I didn't know that mht
got
its own extension.
Original comment by dimok...@hotmail.de
on 20 Mar 2010 at 1:51
Oh btw. The extension is .mth not .mht i just checked ;).
Original comment by dimok...@hotmail.de
on 20 Mar 2010 at 11:04
Well, talking about compatibility, some Gamecube movie files aren't played at
the
correct speed. For example, the demo video from MK:DD!! (play1.thp). It's VERY
laggy.
I also tested the *.thp's from MKWii, SSBB and SMG. They seem to be fine, but
with
minor slowdowns. Nothing special.

Verify once like in windows. "Are you sure you want to delete those 921 files?"
And if there are errors, it would be cool if you could just skip that task,
resume
next, and then prompt user what to do or show a summary when everything else is
finished. :)

Would be cool to launch internet channel from main part of start menu, and
maybe have
the possibility to add favorite websites to a sub-menu for opera to launch
directly.
Check this out:
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/BootOpera
This would of course involve checking if the internet channel is installed.

Hi, first of all: Great Job!
I would like to use my HDD-Dockingstation for my wii, but it has an internal
USB-
Hub, is it right, that this is not Accessable?
Also, I tried to attach two HDDs on the two USB ports, and Wiixplorer is only
showing one of them.
If it's not only me doing something wrong, I would like to have support for
both.
But maybe it's an IOS Issue?
Original comment by Schwuuu...@googlemail.com
on 16 May 2010 at 8:29
This is the limitation of the cIOS. Only one HDD can be used at a time. About
the HUB
i don't know. It is also something that depends on the cIOS.

love the app - thanks
can we get a BACKUP option on a file, please?
first up it'll check the file sixze against free space and decide if it can go
ahead, then it will take the selected file "nand.bin" and copy/paste in the
same
folder to "nand 2010-06-05.bin" (yyyy-mm-dd so that they are all in correct
name-
sort order)
the same could be done perhaps for folders in case you wanted to backup
e.g. "usbloader" before offically updating it. So "old_folder_name 2010-06-05".
folders mit be more tricky re the folder-size, but imagining that there are
dos/unix
commands out there for you to use?
many thanks again

nand backup is not posible, if we do that so we would lose our "Wiibrew

I have two suggestions.
1) Why not add the channel's version number in one of the corners. It's not a
huge thing, sometimes I don't remember if I need to update. While this
probably isn't an issue with most people, I have multiple Wii's and I usually
download updates through the the Wii instead of my computer.
2) Why not make the Text Editor maximized by default. I'm not asking for a
min/max feature for windows, since I know that is already listed (and would
probably take a fair amount of work). I'm just suggesting that you make use of
the whole screen. Maybe there is far more to it than changing dimensions, or
maybe you have a good reason for keeping the window small. If so, I understand.
Thanks for a great app. It is one that I use frequently.
