Some paths garbled by Settings #527

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to Settings
2. Click Path Setup
3. Try to edit the WiiMC, MPlayerCE, or URL List path

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect the text I enter to be left unmolested, at least as long as it ends in
boot.dol, boot.dol, or .xml (respectively).

Instead, WiiXplorer appends a stray "/", "/", or ".xml" (respectively) to
whatever I try to enter.

What version of WiiXplorer are you using? On what System Menu?

212, on System Menu 4.3U.

Please provide any additional information below.

Of course, I wouldn't need to edit these paths at all if WiiXplorer had proper
defaults for the "installed on USB" case ...

This is mainly out of "noob friendliness". The slash is appended as "boot.dol"
or whichever is required is appended later automatically. Only the application
path is needed.

Your problem with the installed on USB detection should be resolved in newer
revisions. You'll just have to wait till it's done to the point where it is
fully usable.

Should be fine in R256 now. No more modification of user input through
WiiXplorer.
