Text Harder to Read (new font perhaps?) #541

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open WiiXplorer
2. Notice the new font
3. Its much harder to read, old font was EASILY legible

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Maybe its because I'm still using a CRT for my Wii (and why not? Its not HD
anyway), but the old font used in the previous WiiXplorer is clear, and easy to
read. But this new one is not.

What version of WiiXplorer are you using? On what System Menu?

R245 on 4.3 menu

No font change. Nothing changed. The only thing that might affect it is a newer
freetype library. I won't be doing anything about it as it is still very good
readable.

I found out why the text (mostly on file names) is harder to read. Its because
the horizontal size of the newer builds of WiiXplorer is squeezed narrower than
before, by about 10%. No wonder the fonts are thinner than before. Not CRT
friendly at all. (not everyone has a Wii hooked up to a motion-blurry
input-lagging HDTV)

Well you can use your own font. That's why there is a "custom font" feature.
