WiiXplorer locks up mid-transfer #547

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Started FTPing a larger file (over 1gig) to usb1. After about 10-15 min,
the transfer will fail.
2. I click on "Shutdown FTP" and as soon as I do, the system hard locks. I need
to press-hold power to reboot.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
First, to not have the FTP fail in the first place.
Second, allow me to shut down and restart the server so I can resume my
transfer.

What version of WiiXplorer are you using? On what System Menu?
r256

Please provide any additional information below.

I used to use r210. For the longest time, it seems to have been more stable
(no lock-ups like I had when I tried the version in the mid 240s, similar to
what I had with 256).

But now when I try 210, I only see the SD card. It does not show USB1 like it
used to.

r256 sees the USB drive just fine, but can't send large files to it without it
dying. so I'd like to get 210 working again with USB, or 256 not locking up.

Thanks.

That is a known bug with IOS 58 (which is default in the settings) and writing
to USB. It is a bug in libogc from what I see.

Just use a cIOS (best would be d2x e.g. 249) as the boot IOS in the boot
settings of wiixplorer and reboot the application after setting it. This will
fix that problem.

r210 used cIOS 202 as default IOS which is stable as well.

Thanks. I'll give it a try when my kid is off the system again. :)

Works great. I downloaded a 1.4gig files off of my SD card and was able to
re-upload it to itself.
