Modular Machines #11

So, we have Modular Machines, and Modular Diversity is under consideration...

What do we want to do with this? What machines are currently missing that warrant making multiblocks?

If we can put together a list of things we want to add, we can start thinking about implementation details.

The three default Modular Machines machines are a centrifuge, a power transformer, and an alloy smelter. Modular Diversity adds the ability to have Botania powered and Embers powered ore processing; Embers already has a primitive ore doubler, but Botania has nothing. I'm not sure if it's appropriate for Botania, but some big multiblock that maybe uses Embers decorative blocks like Archaic Edge might be neat that would give equal results, say, to that of the IE crusher. So we could credibly go "all Embers power systems".

Another idea I had is that we can artificially make, though Modular Machines, the Magneticraft automatic ore processing system. Have an automatic smasher that does crushing table recipes, and an automated sifter that requires a lot of water and washes the rock out.

I very much like the idea of making temporary MgC bits. Will think on that.

An Embers Industrial Ore Processor seems feasible.

Are the default Modular Machines useful as-is? I dimly recall the power transformer being for power conversions between mods, which I think is actually not useful to us. Should we consider adding recipes to the centrifuge and alloy smelter?

Just looked at the default modular machines recipes. Good news: Alloy Smelter looks reasonably comprehensive. Seems to pick up furnace smelting operations without trouble. Odd news: doesn't actually have any actual 'alloy' recipes aside from 'modularium'. Weird news: it has a coal-to-diamond recipe that uses 32 coal and 8 dynamite, with a tiny amount of energy input. Weirder news: the centrifuge has a grass-block-to-stuff recipe. Which...

Well, the output is 100% chance of dirt, 70% chance of seeds, 40% chance of clay, 30% chance each of mushroom/red mushroom, 10% chance each of pumpkin/melon seed, 5% chance cocoa, and 1% chance of nether wart.

Actually another good one that came to me is a petroleum cracker. So we could feed bitumen into it and break it into I think lubricant? and then lubricant into diesel, diesel into gasoline (not that there's compelling reasons to do diesel -> gasoline at present). IP wants to do this eventually, but Flaxbeard appears to have abandoned Yet Another one of his mods for a while, so I wouldn't count on it happening soon.
