This appears to only happen with a CD that has hidden audio before the start of the first track. It fails on Hullaballo CD2, but not on other CD's I've tested.
This also happens on a Optiarc DVD RW AD-7240S
.
@Hornwitser could you please post some more details concerning your drive model (in addition to iHAS124 Y)?
Which iHAS124-?? Y model is it? This info can be found printed on the drive e.g.:
Please also post a screenshot of CUERipper from your system, which shows the detected drive model and firmware at the top.
@Hornwitser, could you please test the following build with the iHAS124 Y
drive:
CUETools_2.1.9_2021-05-19_git_e15f35b.zip
SHA256: 6720ce0eca8bcf5b5109fa3b05d306dcb96fdc38f6c3e08ffe1e3637a1e715ae
Images of the drive models:
The build you posted just says "Failed to load ripper module"
After some more testing I've discovered that most of my drives don't work with CDs that have Hidden Track One Audio (HTOA). These CDs are rare and they work fine with more or less any other CDs.

@Hornwitser please unblock the downloaded
CUETools_2.1.9_2021-05-20_git_ba13bf0.zip
before unpacking:
Remark: The zip file has been submitted to Microsoft yesterday, however, it may take a little until antivirus definition files are updated and Windows SmartScreen allows it automatically. Until then, unblocking it manually helps.
I get a very similar error message to previously for CDs with HTOA on that build.
@Hornwitser OK, thanks for testing.
Another question: Is ripping of other CDs (without HTOA) working properly with your iHAS124 Y
drive in CUERipper 2.1.6 and 2.1.9?
I am asking because of a reported issue with an iHAS124 F
drive concerning C2 error mode (#107).
It has been working fine in 2.1.6 and it looks to be working fine in 2.1.9 too.
OK, thanks for the confirmation.

The other way round, does this mean, that you have at least one drive, which is able to read HTOA? If this is the case, this drive should be used for ripping the album with the HTOA.
I had a quick look at the DAE Drive features database
.
According to the database, the following of your drives do not support HTOA:
Optiarc AD-5170A
https://www.daefeatures.co.uk/search?manufacturer=0&model=AD-5170A
NEC ND-3500AG https://www.daefeatures.co.uk/search?manufacturer=0&model=ND-3500AG
So far, no info concerning HTOA is provided for the "iHAS124 Y" drive https://www.daefeatures.co.uk/search?manufacturer=0&model=ihas124
Further details concerning HTOA and how to test, if a drive can retrieve HTOA can be found here: https://www.daefeatures.co.uk/htoa
I have at least 3 drives that can rip HTOA, so I can rip the albums with it but other people may not be so fortunate. Do you think it would be possible to have a don't rip the HTOA fallback if the drive doesn't support it?
