current code on watch doesn't launch phone app in background

it may be launching, but the credentials refresh isn't working properly.

would be best if:

• phone is reachable
• phone has the application
• phone launches app in background
• this background launch is rigged so it can get cognito credentials

(i'm guessing the last step may be where the issue is)
