Always 2 tries to start ripping

1) Please describe the steps to reproduce the situation:
a. I use a CD-RW LG GCE-8525B with the offset recomended at the link provided 
by Rubyripper (+6)
b. After pushing the "extract now" button, CD starts to spin but it takes 
always 2 tries with a variable but always too long time to actually start 
ripping. It happens with every track of the CD.
c. The whole ripping process takes too long

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Output is normal, just to slow due to the waiting time tos start ripping every 
track.

3) What version of rubyripper are you using? On what operating system? The gtk2 
of commandline interface?
I'm using the latest one on Ubuntu 8.04, but I had this problem with other 
versions of Ubuntu and Rubyripper too.

4) Is this not already fixed with the latest & greatest code? See for
instructions the Source tab above.

5) Does the problem happen with all discs? If not, please attach
the output of cdparanoia -Q with a disc that gives trouble.
Yes, it does happen with all CDs-

6) Please explain why this change is important for you. Also, how many
users would benefit from this change?
It's important since my available time to rip cds is limited, and I need to do 
it as quicly as possible. 

Please provide any additional information below. The more usefull
information provided, the sooner the issue will be fixed.

I attach an example (my apologies for it is in Spanish, but I'm sure you'll 
have no problem). As regards solutions, I want to state that I use Ubuntu at a 
basic user level.

Hi, 

I never changed any setting but the offset. However, I've tried with offset at 
zero and nothing changed.
