Croping fails almost always... #252

First of all, if you have any Haxies, InputManagers, SIMBL plugins or
similar operating system hacks installed, please remove them first, restart
the program, and make sure the bug is reproducible without them.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I start to crop a JPG image that is enlarged to fit in full screen
2. I select an area to crop
3. when I double click on it => bugs and closes Xee

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I was waiting for a cropped picture => it fails Xee instead and closes it.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Xee 2.1.1 on Mac OS X 10.6.6

Please provide any additional information below.

Can you upload a crash report?

It works some more times than before => but still fails often, while using this
very useful crop action...

Please find attached a crash report as sent to Apple, if it can helps.

Does the same thing happen if you press Enter to finish cropping instead?

I can't explain, by now it seems to work both with double click or Enter...
I'll try time to time to make it fails with Enter, if it is the case I'll send
you the crash report that should be generated.

I guess the problem hasn't come back? I'll close the issue for now. Post more
information if the problem is still there.

Yes I got it a little bit differently many times.
After saving a croped picture, it fails but save the image anyway.
I'll try to attach a crash report of it the next time I have it, if you are
interested.

For your information, find attached one of the error message I got often after
cropping a picture on Mac OS X, with Xee of course. The cropped picture is
saved anyway.

Oh, that actually clears things up a lot. I can see what is happening now.

Strange that this seems to work just fine on most machines, since it doesn't
crash here and nobody else has reported it either.

It should be easy to fix, but I am not sure if it is worth a new release just
for this little fix...

Nice it helped you then ;)
Perhap adding the fix in the next release would be enough.
Thanks for taking your time to improve Xee that is really a nice app!

This code is all rewritten in 3.0, so this should not happen any more.
