Crash while 'Delete' #263

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open an image file (I used .jpg file)
2. Press 'Delete' button and confirm deletion
3. Xee app quits unexpectedly

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Xee 2.2, Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I delete images all the time in Xee without it crashing, so there's something
more that's needed to trigger this bug. Can you do some more testing and figure
if it really crashes always?

Yep, I don't get this crash anymore.

Sorry to bother.

I think there might be some kind of race condition somewhere in the code that
can cause a crash, but it is only triggered randomly, and rarely. That makes it
horribly difficult to find.

I'm planning a rewrite of a lot of the code, and I hope I get rid of that bug
at the same time without having to actually find it first.

Marking invalid for now.

I'm not hitting a crash when deleting anything, but I am whenever I use the
'move picture' functionality. (which involves a delete.)

Specifically, I was able to move about 200-300 pictures from an SD card just
fine, but now I'm hitting a crash every two or three pictures after that, even
after repeatably restarting Xee.

I'm using Xee 2.2, on Lion
