Failure loading large JPEG files #414

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Attempt to open a  65500x18874 jpeg

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the image; instead I get a screen full of animated static.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3.3 beta 1 (29)

Please provide any additional information below.
The image is near, but not exceeding, the size limits of the JPEG spec.

That's not ever going to fit into graphics card memory, so there's little I can 
do to fix that.
