Port cck_map module to Drupal 6 #151

This task is to update the cck_map module at
http://drupal.org/project/cck_map from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6. The cck_map
module allows individuals to place and edit single or multiple Google Maps
markers by clicking a map interface.

Each new major release of Drupal, we introduce new API features and changes
that can cause old modules to stop functioning. Modules need to be upgraded
with each new version of Drupal so that they are compatible.

To complete this task, work with the module maintainer to port the code to
the Drupal 6 API. You'll need to download the latest version of the Content
Creation Kit (CCK) for Drupal 6 to reference changes to the CCK field API.

The final deliverable will be a patch against the HEAD version of the
module posted to the module's issue queue that has been reviewed and marked
"Ready to be Committed". See the resources section for more information.

I just wanted to check in and see how this task is coming along.  Could you 
please
post the progress you've made so far to the issue for this task on drupal.org 
please,
so we can make sure you're on the right track.

Now that it's too late to claim another issue, we'll allow you to work on this 
task
until the final deadline of midnight PST on Feb. 4, 2008.  However, tasks must 
be
*reviewed* by this deadline as well, so it would be great if you could get your 
work
to us as soon as possible so we can start the review process.

Sorry for answering so late, but somehow I had problems with my mail account and
didn't get a notification of the issue update.
Since drupal.org is offline at the moment, I'll post my reply here:

I wanted to complete this over the weekend, but unfortunately I didn't really 
have
time due to homework and learning for tests. So, this is my current progress: 
there
are many php notices caused by the content module, and the map isn't displayed 
on the
view page. However, it's already possible to create and edit a node with a 
cck_map field.
I hope that I can complete this tomorrow to get this reviewed as soon as 
possible. I
just saw that you already extended my deadline, thanks for that!

drupal.org is fine for me, so please try reposting there.  You'll always get 
more and
faster feedback by posting in the issue queue on d.o than you will here, since 
it's
mostly the GHOP admins that read these comments.

As for finishing, you have until midnight pacific time on Feb. 4, 2008 for your 
issue
to be marked closed by a GHOP admin for you to get credit for the task.  This 
is a
100% hard deadline (it's Google's rule, not ours).  So just make sure you get 
your
work to us in time to review it and perhaps for you to make any necessary 
revisions
such that you can meet that deadline.

Hi,

Any news about it ? The latest update have 6 month old. If you have oh my god 
too
much homework, please, advice us and let another people claim the task.

I'm a little hard, and I want to say thank you for your work, but make sure, 
when you
claim some work, to be able to complete it. Or it brings to dead task and all 
the
community become penalized.

@zmoove:  The GHOP program is over, and these issues on Google's code tracker 
are not
watched by many (any?) people anymore.  Any information/progress on this task 
will be
posted in the actual drupal.org issue for this task at
