password needed to extract root filesystem #175

I'm having trouble extracting the filesystem from the firmware2.2.1.ipsw
that I have. I have extracted the .ipsw in Ubuntu, and am using
HFSExplorer to extract the largest of the .dmg files that I found inside,
018-4490-10.dmg (which I assume is the filesystem), however it's asking me
for a password and I'm pretty confused, I appreciate any help.

check that blog post out. It has some instructions on where to get the password
and
how to use vfdecrypt to decrypt it.

Thanks for that, I found another guide that said you can just scp
/System/Library/Frameworks/ and /usr/lib/ from the iphone and those are all
that you
need to build the toolchain.
