Hang while backspacing #2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Type some text into QSB.
2. Start hitting backspace, quickly

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the text to clear smoothly as I hit backspace, but instead it hangs 
after a few presses and I 
get a beachball. It seems to hang for anywhere from 30 seconds to a few 
minutes. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.0.0.3246, OS X 10.6.3 (MacBook Pro, 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB)

Please provide any additional information below.
I've attached a sample taken while it was hanging.

Oops...meant to add this as an issue to the main project, not plugins. I'll
