cropping/saving animated GIFs just stopped working #499

I bought Xee3 about a year ago through iTunes.  It’s the best program I’ve 
found on the Mac for browsing, slideshows, and quick editing of lots of image 
files.  However, something weird just happened.  I’ve been cropping and 
re-saving many images.  This was working fine for both jpegs and animated GIFs. 
 However, a few days ago something changed and if I crop an animated GIF and go 
to save, it has selected file type PNG instead of GIF and only saves the first 
frame.  Even if I manually change to GIF, it’s still just the first frame.  I 
searched a bit and even tried 

defaults delete cx.c3.Xee3

but that didn’t fix the problem.  What’s going on?

Saving animated GIFs has never worked, unfortunately. You are probably 
confusing Xee with some other program, unfortunately.
