Reached out to Lauren at SCMA for her advice. She suggests that all users be notified, and not ones who recently logged-in. We are still awaiting feedback from the rest of the Tiger Team. Vince and Ilia are pulling stats on the number of active users vs total users. We need to identify the best tool to send the email blast. Lauren suggested Mailchimp.
Updating the Ticket. Vince and I are investigating the potential to send the email blast through GC Notify. It is looking very promising.

Ilia was able to pull the stats for both GCcollab and GCconnex notification digest usage.
Here is GCcollab first: out of 144522 total users on collab, 8953 had actually ever messed round / hit save on their notification settings page 1027 of them have the digest active right now, which break down as such 738 are using the default ‘weekly’ setting, and 289 switched it to ‘daily’ 913 have it set to English, and 114 to French
And GCconnex: out of 261812 total users on connex, 21683 had actually ever messed round / hit save on their notification settings page since the digest feature was added 2640 of them have the digest active right now, which break down as such 1687 are using the default ‘weekly’ setting, and 953 switched it to ‘daily’ 2278 have it set to English, and 362 to French
Has a Demo with the GC Notify people on June 22nd, 2023. Reached out to lesley.wheldrake@tbs-sct.gc.ca, who is part of the GC Notify team.
Would likely need myself, @piet0024 , @ShawnRunions , and the SCMA people to get together and put together what the business requirements are go us to put together a spreadsheet with user info and put together a comms plan for the series of emails that we would likely send out to all GCConnex users.

All the pieces are falling into place, nice work! How easy/hard lol is it to get a list of all the GCConnex users on a spreadsheet, and then ensure that no one gets left behind once the email blasting begins?

That's more of a @piet0024 question, as he would have to do a pull from the GCConnex database. Unsure what that takes in terms of resources for the type of query.
Look to send an email to active GCconnex users with communication information. There are a lot of duplicate or abandoned accounts and emails in the system. Perhaps we can look to get logged in users from the last 12 months and send them an email. Look into CDS notify: https://notification.canada.ca/
