Another discussion post had a similar issue recently - the person changed the address domain from @ised-isde.gc.ca to @canada.ca in that case. Here is the link if you want a second reference.

I did some investigating into this issue and there could be a few things that could be happening.
Unfortunately, we do not plan to make any fixes to the GCconnex platform at this time. We are aware that notifications are still a pain point with GCcollab so we update the backlog.
I will close this issue and link it to a update notification system backlog item.
The user is unsure why she is receiving multiple emails from the GCCollab & GCconnex platforms.
