Setting a desktop picture does not work (produces error) #430

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open an image
2. Right-click on image and select "Use image as desktop picture"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the desktop change to the image. Instead I receive an error in
the form of a popup, which reads,

"image name.jpg" couldn’t be copied to “Xee3” because an item with the
same name already exists. To save the file, either provide a different name,
or move aside or delete the existing file, and try again.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I have Xee(3) and OSX v10.9.1 on an iMac 27 3.4GHz i7.

Please provide any additional information below.

Unlike previous users who have complained of similar issues (see issue #361
(https://code.google.com/p/xee/issues/detail?id=361)), if I attempt this in
fullscreen mode, I don't even have the option to assign a desktop background.
This is happening to me in regular viewing mode. I've tried updating the
application, I've tried different images, etc. So far, no dice. That last
ticket spoke of an issue with OSX, which could be part of the issue here too
perhaps. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Xee(3), OS updates, nothing
is working.

Any suggestions?

This is very weird, I can't reproduce it at all.

Xee always copies the picture you set as desktop picture to its application
support folder to keep it safe. It tries to delete the previous one to avoid
the problem you're seeing now, but apparently for you deleting fails. I have no
idea why, and I can't trigger it on my own machine.

Is it still happening? Can you delete the application support folder for Xee
and see if it still happens?
