Feature Request - Ability to add Devices or Scenes to Kodi Favourites or Main Menus / Sub-menus #11

Hi

This is a feature request possibly for the future..

I have had several users asking me about is it possible to add Vera Devices or Scenes to the XBMC / Kodi favourites, or to be able to add them to main menus in the Kodi skins.

I agree if would be nice if you could add certain Vera Scenes to the Kodi main menus.

I cannot see how this would work for devices? But being able to add a Scene to your Kodi skins main menus or sub-menus would be a very nice feature to have.

For example on my "Movies" sub-menu in Kodi I would possibly add a button to the sub-menu to run a Vera scene to close the curtains in the room.

I think it we can add the scenes to the Kodi Favourites feature somehow, that would probably be enough for users to then to be able to customize their skins and add those favourites to the Kodi skin menus themselves.

I am not sure if this is even technically possible? But its just an idea at this stage, to be able to add Vera scenes to Kodi favourites.

That is the problem. I guess: the main menu can have links to apps not to part of an app... Maybe we can create widgets like in e.g. Android? But even if so... this sounds worth a separate project?

Just initial thoughts for now.
