Currently the plugin only gives the option to enable / disable the entire plugin. In addition to that, put the option to (not)use retort in the "Settings" when editing a category (similar to the star "ratings" plugin).
This would make retort more suitable for forums where some categories are "srs biznes" :smirk_cat: (where reactions are good) and then others "actually serious business" :cop: (where reactions are distracting / contribute nothing (or because I don't care about the reaction I just want ppl to read)).
