Just a suggestion - ensure that your transmitter is not overdeviating your AFSK signal. I'm not using direct AFSK, but I'm using a bluetooth TNC. Before my local digis recognized me, I had to go in and tune the TX deviation level. This goes for receive as well. In my case, my tranciever did not output enough volume for the TNC to decode the received packets. I had to configure the tnc to amplify the RX volume 4X before my TNC would decode heard packets properly.
The principal is the same whether you're using direct AFSK or an external TNC - the deviation levels must be tuned. You may already be familiar with this - if not, there are several good tutorials online that will turn up with a google search.
Hope this helps, good luck
I am unable to be recognized by my local digipeater while using afsk. I am using WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1 and I am receiving some packets from the digipeater. The only way my position is being sent is through tcp or via iss. Any ideas as to what would help?
