LastCall Reply function sometimes locks up display #18

Firmware 2.27

I assigned the LastCall Reply function to the PF2 key and have been using it to select the last talkgroup heard in Digi Mon mode.

Intermittently - perhaps one time out of every 10 or 20 - pressing this key locks up the radio display and key functions. The radio still receives but can't do anything else. The only cure is to turn it off and on.

I have two radios and this problem only happens on one unit - even though they use the same codeplug (with only the RadioID changed). The 2nd radio freezes to the point where the battery must be removed to reset.

I have a reproducible case for this with my radio, codeplug, and openSPOT configuration:

  1. Turn on the radio and wait for it to boot up.
  2. On the openSPOT Connectors page, click Group Call 4000.
  3. After the radio receives the voice announcement, press the LastCall Reply key (mapped to PF2).

The radio is now locked up and requires removing the battery to recover.

This happens with both 2.29 and 2.30.

I will clean up my codeplug and openSPOT configuration files a bit, verify that the bug still happens, and then attach them to this issue.

In the meantime I will be curious to know if this procedure locks up anyone else's radio repeatably.
