Reproducible hard crash with "LastCall Reply" in 2.29 #54

Firmware 2.29

The radio locks up completely every time I use the "LastCall Reply" keyboard function in 2.29. I have this function mapped to PF2 short press, and all I have to do to lock up the radio completely is press the PF2 key. Turning off the power with the volume/power button does not recover; I have to remove the battery.

I have had several non-reproducible crashes of various kinds, but this one now appears to be 100% reproducible on my radio.

Strange enough, my LastCall Reply (also on PF2) works while it freezes up my wife's radio. Same codeplug too...I just change Radio IDs and write to appropriate radio. Firmware 2.27.

You would expect that I'd check for a duplicate issue that I filed myself in the first place... D'oh! ;-)

I may also have a solid repro case now with the openSPOT. I just click the Group Call 4000 button on the Connectors page, and then press PF2 on the radio to select the LastCall Reply. Boom! Radio locks up so bad that you have to pop out the battery to reset it.

Of course when I tried to clean up my openSPOT configuration to attach to an issue, the problem went away! But it's back with my regular config, so when I get a few minutes I will get that sorted out and attach the config/codeplug files to the original issue.

Are you using a hotspot or repeater?

And how awesome that your wife is a ham too. Congratulations to both of you!
