Hey, in the interest of keeping you informed . . . working today in my Sys76 linux computer in Gecko rolling edition, after upgrading 55 +- packages today, on re-viving from suspend the system is "very slow" to reconnect with wired internet connection.

I just counted it out and it was a full 15 count/seconds before the "network has been disconnected" notification window opens and then another 3 seconds before wifi connects . . . and then wired connects. Tried it several times, very slow.

I had this same issue over in the Pop!_OS partition in the same machine a few months back, and the techs there had me run through all kinds of commands and upgrading kernel to try to "solve" the problem . . . but it was a lot of effort that kept turning over rocks . . . newer kernel did improve the problem, but it took too much time to fix something that should be smooth and quick. It seemed like in Pop! if I logged out it re-connected faster than if I suspended--but when I'm using the computer during the day I prefer to suspend it, etc.

Other problem affecting Gecko as it did/does in Pop! is that keystroke on the laptop keyboard won't revive the machine from suspend . . . but keystroke on plugged in ext keyboard will . . . . A "minor" problem that seemingly shouldn't be a problem . . . like, click on keys to revive machine and a second later machine is connected to internet . . . .??????? But now have to have an ext keyboard plugged in and roughly 20 seconds to get wired connection hooked up . . . .
