Rolling MATE install fails to revive from suspend?? #488

@geckolinux

Been having a rash of issues across my openSUSE and Debian installs lately, hard to keep track of them all. Had this problem in Leap 15.5 alpha/beta on my '12 Mac Pro with nvidia card, failing to revive from suspend, the machine would "run" but the display would remain black, etc. Filed a bug report on it on bugzilla and the dev suggested installing the newest kernel from Backports, at that time a few days ago it was 6.1.12 xxxx and that worked on Leap. This morning Gecko was running 6.1.10 when the problem first was noticed.

Over here in Gecko rolling and same thing happened . . . I got the latest 6.2xxx kernel installed and suspended machine, a few minutes later . . . the problem is not solved. Clicking keystroke and machine starts running, but display remains black . . . ???

There was also a recent problem in openSUSE with a "G06" nvidia package that when installed on older nvidia hardware, miine is GTX780?? and that broke the "video"??? So many issues, can't remember the details, but I just checked yaSt and it shows that that package is installed in my Gecko MATE edition. I "locked" it, but I believe in the previous instance it has to be removed . . .??? Since video was is working on cold boot I didn't take the time to mess with it, but perhaps two issues are "cooperating" to create a problem??
