quick intro into Elixir Phoenix live view and the cool things that one can do when the need for a frontend JS framework is replaced with server side rendering and DOM patching over websockets
Hi I'm Lenz, lived in many places, landed in Portugal recently and it looks like i'll be here for longer :)
I wrote my first erlang app around 2007 and have been hooked on the way erlang makes it easy to write massively scalable software. With the development of elixir i switched and started to work more and more in it. Today i write only elixir with very few other languages in the mix.

@norbu09 updating this one to stand for your Elixir Phoenix live view submission. Just cleaning up the attic and want to pull this one up in visibility
lightning talks
Description
Lightning talks are a good way to ease into the year with a few people presenting a short talk. The nice thing about lightning talks is that they are quick to prepare, easy to deliver and a fun way to start the year. Lightning talks are typically 5min and i have presented under the hard 5min rule in the past. While this can be fun with people clapping the presenter off at 5min sharp we could also run a more forgiving version where a talk can stretch to a bit more than 5min especially if the presenter is presenting in a language that is not their first language.
